Faith-Bound Homeschool Cooperative Statement of Faith
Faith-Bound Homeschool Cooperative exists to support Christian homeschooling families as they seek to glorify God through the education and discipleship of their children. We believe that parents are the primary God-ordained educators of their children and that Christian education should be grounded in biblical truth and a Christ-centered worldview.
As members of Faith-Bound Homeschool Cooperative, we affirm the following beliefs:
1. The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final authority for faith, doctrine, and daily living (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
2. The Triune God
We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator, Sustainer, and Sovereign Lord of all creation.
3. Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, and will return again in power and glory.
4. Salvation
We believe all people are sinners in need of salvation. Salvation is a gift of God's grace received through faith in Jesus Christ alone and not by works.
5. The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer, providing guidance, conviction, comfort, and power for Christian living.
6. The Family
We believe God created humanity as male and female in His image. We believe marriage is the covenant union of one man and one woman and that God designed the family as the primary institution for nurturing, discipling, and educating children according to His Word.
7. Christian Education
We believe all truth is God's truth and that education should be approached through a biblical worldview. We seek to cultivate academic excellence, godly character, wisdom, curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. We believe children thrive when given opportunities to explore, learn, and grow within a framework of biblical truth, loving guidance, and personal responsibility. We recognize that each child is uniquely created by God with individual gifts, interests, and learning styles, and we encourage families to pursue educational approaches that honor their child's God-given design.
8. Christian Community
We are committed to fostering a Christ-centered community marked by love, kindness, encouragement, patience, humility, and mutual respect. We believe every person is created in the image of God and should be treated with dignity and compassion. As a cooperative, we value collaboration among families and seek to create an environment where children and parents are encouraged, supported, and strengthened in their faith and educational journey.
9. Unity in Christ
While members may differ on non-essential doctrines, educational philosophies, teaching methods, or homeschool styles, we are united in the core truths of the Christian faith. We commit to maintaining unity, grace, humility, and biblical love in our relationships, striving to preserve the bond of peace within our cooperative.
